THREE OF MY "VERY SPECIAL INTERESTS"

1. Women's spinal balance and living posture:

Every time I observe an unhealthy lady who is frail, bent over, and weak well before her time, I cringe because, with her permission, I could have helped her a lot before she started to become what she is today.  Occupations, athletics, misdirected physical training, no regular directed physical training, and/or lack of knowledge are all strong contributors to this scourge.  In all my years of being a chiropractor I have never had one son say to me "I don't want to end up looking like my dad."  However, I cannot count the number of daughters, from the ages of 18 to 50+ who have told me in very clear and certain terms "I don't want to end up looking like my mom.  What can we do about it?"  My response is always, "let's go!"  Ladies, you need to be evaluated for strength and postural imbalances, now, before sarcopenia plays a significant role in your health deterioration and results in intractable pain.
I have witnessed countless "middle-aged" women who are all cried out and drugged up to their eyeballs not knowing where to turn except to the chiropractor as a last resort.  Why not make the chiropractor the first resort?

2. Pregnant back pain:

I don't wonder any more why my spouse experienced relatively pain-free pregnancies while our neighbors were complaining all day long while limiting their daily activities.  The ProAdjuster computerized instrument is safe, comfortable, and can be helpful for this condition.

3. The athlete who desires a college scholarship:

During our kids' developmental years, I witnessed excellent athletes, both boys and girls, who had legitimate opportunities to be awarded a college scholarship (hint - hint > a free education).  However, due to injuries allowed to become chronic through inappropriate treatment and treatment beginning too late (scar tissue builds up in one day following an injury), these kids and their families were left to struggle with college bills and the ongoing payment of massive student loans.  Timely chiropractic for a mechanical injury would have, I'm quite sure, helped many of these kids remain athletically successful and financially solvent without a student loan hanging over their heads for years and years.  Anyway, in summation, most high-level athletes use chiropractic on a regular and supportive basis.  Come on in and elevate your performance.

Member: National Strength and Conditioning Association
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (2003)
Certified Personal Trainer (2004)

Activities: Family life, spending tons of time with spouse, physical training (long distance running, trail running, sprinting on the track, weight training, flexibility/agility/balance development and maintenance), working in the yard.

Philosophy of Robust Health and Well-Being: Being robustly healthy and enjoying personal physical and mental well-being enables the individual to perform the activities they want to do and need to do in order to have a happy life for as long as they exist.  This is the exact opposite of having to limit or avoid activities due to inability to perform or fear of the painful consequences in a body that cannot successfully perform the various activities of daily living.
